How much memory do I need?

Choosing what to buy when upgrading your system memory is often a confusing process. Think of purchasing a memory upgrade as a two step process.

Step 1: Identify what Type of Memory is compatable with your particular desktop, laptop, printer, or other device.

Step 2: Choose which RAM module to buy.

The Asus Asus Motherboards CUV4X-DLS uses PC-133 type memory and usually ships from Asus with 0MB of RAM. The Asus Motherboards CUV4X-DLS supports up to 4GB of RAM. Maximizing your system memory will allow your Asus Motherboards to operate as fast as possible and offer the most productive environment.

RAM modules must be installed in special locations on the motherboard called Sockets. These memory sockets are what hold the RAM module in place and can range from 1 to 16 or more. Typically you will see 2x512MB or 2x256MB signifying you are purchasing 2 units of 512MB RAM modules or 2 units of 256MB RAM modules, respectively.
