How much memory do I need?

Choosing what to buy when upgrading your system memory is often a confusing process. Think of purchasing a memory upgrade as a two step process.

Step 2: Choose which RAM module to buy.

The Cisco Versatile Interface Processor 7000/7500 VIP2-40 uses type memory and usually ships from Cisco with 32MB of RAM. The Versatile Interface Processor 7000/7500 VIP2-40 supports up to 64MB of RAM. Maximizing your system memory will allow your Versatile Interface Processor to operate as fast as possible and offer the most productive environment.
